2 week blur

Hey boogie,

Well these last two weeks have been a blur of changes. Gran came to stay with us from Oregon, and on the 25th we went with her to Kelowna and helped her pick out a new house to live in! It's got a backyard that will be perfect for making a toboggan hill. I can't wait till the snow comes. It's going to be so great to play with you in it.
Sleeping all the way to Kelowna, with Ziggy by your side. Your first time near snow.
Gran helped us a lot in getting you on a routine of feeding, naps, play time and outings. You were pretty much sleeping from 11:30 p.m. till 9:00 a.m. every night. Then daylight savings time ended, and NOW you fall asleep at or before 9:00 p.m. and wake up at 6:30 a.m. I really can't complain, since you still sleep just as long, and we do get to see tatus in the morning, and I know he likes that, too.

You are also getting much easier to put to sleep in the evenings. You like falling asleep with your tatus. Last night we even tried just putting you down in your crib while you were still awake and it worked! You are great at putting yourself to sleep now.

So now we have a new routine to get used to! Yesterday was the first day of you getting up at 6:30 and you hardly slept all day. Gran and I were bushed by 8:00 p.m. so as a last resort to try to get you to sleep, we took you for a walk. It's cold here now, and it was around freezing when we went for the walk. So you got to wear your little bunny snowsuit for the first time. It supposedly is for a 6-month-old, but as I'm discovering, you seem to be fitting better into those than clothes for 3 month olds. And you are 1 day shy of being 3 months old!!
Two days ago you gave your first shriek, and it scared the heck out of me. You and I were alone in the apartment, I was washing dishes and you were in your little blue chair talking away to Mr. Light when, eeeeeeeeeeeee!! You didn't seem to disturbed by the noise, probably proud if anything!

And you've started to laugh. Gran got you laughing first, playing a game of "gotcha!". Now I find that a mixture of making repetitive sounds and either moving your legs or your arms for you gets you giggling. Last night, however, I just had to look at you and smile and you started laughing. The times you laugh are definitely the brightest points of the day.
Boogie and Piglet, watching mom clean out your closet
Not much time to take pictures, but you are as cute as ever.

Love,
Mom
