Teeth grinding
Since you now have enough (FIVE!) teeth to grind them, that is exactly what you have started to do. And the sound of it drives me up the wall. So I am inventing all sorts of ways to make you laugh, smile, and giggle so I can interrupt your determined crrrrrrk crrrrk. Shudder.

Sweet sleep
I love falling asleep with you. Since you get up at 9 a.m. now, you are usually ready for a nap by 12:30. We lie down together on Tatus' and my bed, and you snuggle up to me, pop your thumb in your mouth and usually drift off. Often you climb around a bit on me before you crash out, like yesterday. You fell asleep lying on your stomach across my stomach with your head hanging down beside me as I rubbed your back. Today you fell asleep facing me, with your thumb in your mouth and the fingers of that same hand resting lightly on my face.

A big mess
I learned my lesson fast this time! I went around the corner for a second and left your pureed corn on the table out of your reach. But I left the bowl on a place mat that was within your reach.
The result: pureed corn EVERYWHERE.

Aching backs, messy meals and HI GRAN!
In the past week you have determinedly tried to get at your food and the spoon while being fed. Today, I gave you your own spoon to poke at the food while I fed you. It was a messy feeding, but a happy one.
You also now love to walk around the apartment, with the help of a pair of fingers to hold onto of course. I can see two very sore backs (mine and Tatus') in the near future!
Also, this past weekend Gran went to Los Angeles for 3 weeks. So we are going to send her daily "Hi Gran!" photos so she doesn't miss us too much. Here is the first one:

Easter Sunday
During dinner you got ahold of a hard-boiled egg and banged it on the table until the shell broke. It made the most satisfying crunch! But after that, we only let you play with wooden eggs :
In the evening, we scratched patterns in hard-boiled eggs which had first been dyed brown with onion skins. This is Tatus' favourite part of the Easter traditions.

Easter Saturday
We spent Easter weekend at Babcia & Dziadek's. Your Uncle Daniel and Aunt Natalya were there , too. We played a lot, ate a lot, and you had a great time being the centre of attention. :)
We went for a nice walk with Aunt Natalya and Uncle Daniel after lunch. We went on the swings, and you got to walk around and stretch your legs (with Tatus' help, of course).
Babcia gave you a big bunny for Easter. I think it's almost bigger than you are!
You explored Babcia's fruit basket--oranges really caught your interest:

A day at the park
It's Spring, and everytime we go to the park you are just itching to get out of the stroller and play with all the older kids. I don't think you are going to be shy at all. Today was the first time we took you to the park and you played on the baby swing--you were in heaven! I can see many, many afternoons are going to be spent at the park this summer. I can't wait (and probably neither can you) until you can walk and run around with all the other kids.
The cherry blossom trees are in bloom now, so we put a cluster of flowers behind your ear. Very Hawaiian!

It's kind of fuzzy....
Can I eat it?
On the swing!
