A week with Gran & Uncle Shane
Gran and Uncle Shane came for the week this week to help me with you and Lukasz. Gran spent a lot of time cuddling with Lukasz so we could ease you into him being here so you wouldn't feel suddenly left out or jealous. And I think it worked. You've been nothing but very loving to him.
We went for walks--it's incredible how much longer it takes to get ready when there are 2 kids to dress and get out the door! Lukasz fit nicely in the Snugli, which will be good for when I go for walks with you and him. I can hold your hand or push your stroller easily with him strapped to my chest.
Unfortunately you got sick this week, and were feeling pretty badly.
We took you to the doctor but after taking urine and blood tests, they figured it was just a virus and we just had to let it run it's course. But it was pretty scary when your fever went up to 40.1C. You've never been this sick before. :( We were at the doctor all day, so you missed your regular nap time. When we got home, you and I were both pretty tired (photo by Uncle Shane):
With the extra help around, we had time for this:
You love your big puppy:
And you swiped Lukasz's teddy pretty quick:

Four at the park
The FOUR of us went for a walk to the park today. You had lots of fun on the swings, the slide, and climbing all over the other equipment while your little brother snoozed away.

Lily is a big sister!!
Lukasz James was born January 27th at 12:20 a.m. He spent 3 weeks in the hospital before he came home. He's happy, healthy and very easygoing.
Lily is proving to be a wonderful big sister. The first time she saw him in the hospital she wanted to touch and hold him right away. She likes to kiss Lukasz, give him high fives, and help with changing his diaper. She has not expressed any jealousy toward him, other than if one of us has been holding him for a while, she tells us she wants "up" (to be held).

Fun with Tatus
When your Uncle Derek and Shane and I were younger, we used to play "horsie". I was always the horse--they'd climb on my back and I'd take them for rides, and sometimes I'd be a bucking bronco and try to throw them off. They liked that one the best. :) I showed you and Tatus how to play that today, and I must say, Tatus makes a pretty good horsie. :)
Lily and lala get a ride:
Thank you, Tatus!

Our little climber
Today you figured out how to climb up on the dining room chairs. You were very proud of yourself. You'd rather sit on the chair than on your booster seat now. You are getting to be such a big girl!
